Rooted in Resilience

2026 represents 500 years of African Americans fighting for their freedom in the U.S.; the same year the U.S. is celebrating 250 years of independence. This makes 2026 a special time to celebrate Black communities' continued demonstration of resilience despite ongoing threats. We started the Rooted in Resilience series in Asheville, North Carolina and look forward to their continued capacity and capability building for a strong community hub.
