The follow section provides brief insights into the costs for us to continue to do the work that we love in collaboration with Black organizations from across the country and allies across all races and ethnicities.
Most Grants Do Not Cover These Costs
Operational Costs
Donate to support our non-project or non-programmatic operational costs like office space, accounting, legal advice, management staff, technology, and more. This includes our Community Communications Center which also supports our Black Resilience Network Emergency Operations Center.
Arts & Culture / Youth & Workforce Development
Resilience Builder Program
Mutual Aid / Community Care
Boston REsilience Corps
Boston Resilience Corps members are community members who help their neighbors with personal and community emergencies. The youth and young adults who complete our Resilience Builder program are eligible to join BRC. We provide regular opportunities for learning and engagement, including our Elder Wellness & Support Program.
Wellness Checks & Food/Resources Deliveries
Elder Wellness & Support Program
We provide food deliveries and other resources to over 100 Black elders in the City of Boston each month. We call to check on them and if they need food that month, we bring them perishable and shelf stable groceries. We also organize focused in-person wellness checks at senior housing developments with the Boston Resilience Corps members.
Local & National Program Support
Community Communications Center
The Community Communications Center provides Greater Boston residents with access to resources and support in navigating different programs and systems important to their lives. Additionally, it is the first point of contact for the Black Resilience Network Emergency Operations Center.
NATIONAL COALITION OF BLACK ORGANIZATIONS/TOWNS
Black Resilience Network
A coalition of Black-led organizations, towns, and researchers actively working to strengthen Black communities ability to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from climate and other disasters while preserving Black history, culture, and leadership.
ONLINE LEARNING COMMUNITY
